Becici Beach, at 2 kilometres long and up to 50 metres wide, is the longest pebble beach on the Budva Riviera. On one side, a tunnel connects it directly to Budva’s town beach, „Slovenska Plaza”. Walk in the opposite direction and, with no clear dividing line, you’ll find yourself in the small, charming fishing village of Rafailovici.

Becici is a mix of Jaz and Kamenovo: a relaxed holiday atmosphere blended with a touch of buzz. Plenty of water sports are on offer here too, yet the beach never feels as busy as central Budva.

A promenade runs the entire length of the beach, lined with numerous restaurants and beach bars – around 18 places are within walking distance. Sunbeds and an umbrella can be rented from €10, and of course you can also order drinks straight to your lounger.

Good to know: Becici Beach was already voted the most beautiful beach in Europe at the 1935 Grand Prix in Paris – and has since drawn famous guests such as the Rolling Stones, Madonna, and Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

Insider tip: If you prefer things quieter and finer pebbles over the coarser kind, walk towards Rafailovici to the northern end of the beach – it gets noticeably calmer there and the pebbles are smaller.

When is the best time for a beach holiday in Montenegro?

The best time to travel is from mid-April to mid-October. The summer months of July and August are the “high season”. Everything is full to partially overcrowded and also more expensive than off-season. It can also get extremely hot at the time – up to 40 degrees.
On the other hand, these two months are ideal for a party holiday – all the clubs are open and there is endless nightlife.
